In various scenarios, such as financial institutions, customer support centers, and legal and medical offices, Recording Beep excels in compliance and trust-building. Revolutionize your call recording process by incorporating Recording Beep into your 3CX phone system today for transparency and compliance, avoiding legal complications, and bolstering customer trust.

Key features #

CALL RECORDING NOTIFICATIONVoiptools Recording Beep offers a distinct and audible signal to indicate that your conversation is being recorded, ensuring transparency and compliance with relevant call recording laws and regulations.
CUSTOMIZABLE INITIAL DELAYYou can configure the delay (in seconds) before the first beep is played.
BEEP FREQUENCY SETTINGSYou can choose whether to play the beep only once or throughout the call at a specified interval (in seconds).
PARTICIPANT AWARENESSThe beep acts as a recording reminder, fostering awareness and promoting mindful communication during calls, particularly valuable in sensitive or confidential discussions.
LEGAL COMPLIANCEYou can meet legal requirements by being notified of the recording, reducing the risk of legal issues related to unauthorized or undisclosed call recording.

Where can I use 3CX Recording Beep? #

3CX Recording Beep offers valuable applications across various industries:

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONSBanks and other financial establishments rely on call recordings for regulatory compliance and quality assurance. By employing Recording Beep, these organizations ensure adherence to legal requirements while fostering transparency with clients.
CUSTOMER SUPPORT CENTERSCall centers that record conversations for training and quality assurance purposes can leverage Recording Beep to inform customers and support agents about the ongoing recording. This feature cultivates a sense of trust and enhances the customer experience.
LEGAL AND MEDICAL OFFICESLegal and medical professionals can utilize Recording Beep to notify clients or patients about recorded calls. This helps these professionals comply with industry-specific regulations and maintain privacy standards.

How does it work? #

During a recorded phone call, the 3CX Recording Beep is activated with an initial delay (in seconds) and subsequently emits an audible beep. This beep serves as an alert for both you and the other participant, indicating that the call is being recorded. Depending on your chosen setting, the beep may play only once, serving as the final alert for the call. Alternatively, if you select the option to play the beep continuously, it will emit at a predetermined frequency (in seconds) until the call concludes.

Prerequisites #

Before you begin with the installation steps mentioned in this guide, make sure that your computer meets the minimum requirements stated below for installing 3CX Recording Beep.

  • 3CX Version V18 (Professional or Enterprise Version Only)
  • Windows 10 or above / Windows Server 2012 or above
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or above (Including the free SQL Express edition)
  • Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) 7.0 or above
  • Static IP for VoIPTools and 3CX servers
  • .Net 4.7.2 or above

NOTE:

You need a Static IP for both VoIPTools and 3CX servers to ensure proper two-way communication, both the 3CX server (Relay) and the VoIPTools server. Dynamically assigned IP addresses are not supported. Additionally, it is recommended to use HTTPS for secure communication, which requires a FQDN for SSL/TLS certificate validation between the VoIPTools server and the Relay.

NOTE:

While installing SQL Server, ensure the following,

  • Uninstall the previous versions of SQL Management Studio manually before installing the new version.
  • Install it in “Mixed Mode” to include SQL Authentication, and install SQL Management Studio

NOTE:

  • When you install IIS, make sure to install Basic Authentication, .Net Extensibility, and ASP.Net 4.X.
