It is not only a free call for the customer but is also a super easy way to request a call. You can set the extension of your choice based on your requirement. With this feature on your website, you can expect better conversion rates, higher average orders, and increased sales
What is 3CX Click-To-Call? #
3CX Click-to-Call is a 3CX/ PBX plugin that enables your customers to enter their phone number and immediately receive a phone call from your customer service department. For instance, if the web component is on the “support” page of the website, the call goes to the technical support queue, and if the web component is on the “Contact Us” page, the call goes to the sales queue. 3CX Click-To-Call can be integrated into your existing ASP.Net website. It requires only a few lines of code. Since 3CX Click-To-Call runs as a web service, you can run 3CX Click-To-Call from any server. Even if your website is hosted remotely, or is not running on windows (Apache and PHP for example) you can still use Click-To-Call by using an iframe. The web component occupies a small area of your screen and appears as shown below:

How to use 3CX Click-To-Call? #
3CX Click-To-Call is a one-time installation process. Once you install it, the product will cause the phone system to call the number that the customer had entered in the Call text bar and diverts the call to the appropriate queue by making use of the extension set for that queue.
Prerequisites #
Before installing 3CX Click-To-Call, you need to ensure that your computer meets the minimum requirements mentioned below:
- Windows 10 or above / Microsoft SQL Server 2014 or above (Including the free SQL Express edition) (64 Bit)
- Internet Information Server (IIS) 7.0 or above
- ASP.Net 4.7.2 (C# or VB) or above
- Basic knowledge of web programming and IIS configuration
- 3CX Commercial License V18
- Port number 6400 opened on your device.
NOTE:
- When installing SQL Server, we recommend you install it in “Mixed Mode” to include SQL Authentication, and install SQL Management Studio
- When installing IIS, be sure to install Basic Authentication, .Net Extensibility, and ASP.Net 4.X

Step-by-step Installation Procedure #
The following section will guide you through a detailed walkthrough of the installation process.
Step 1: Download ‘3CX Click-To-Call’. #
- Find the software download link in the Order Confirmation Email, or you can find it in your order history on our website and download the 3CX Click To Call application.
- In the Microsoft Defender SmartScreen, click the More Info option.
- Click the Run Anyway option to start the installation.
Step 2: Install Prerequisites #
Click on the software installer that was downloaded in step 1 above. The installation wizard will automatically identify the needed prerequisites and assist you with the installation of the prerequisites needed to run ‘3CX Click-To-Call’. These include .NET Framework (Web Installer), SQL Server Express (Web Installer), and, SQL Server Management Studio.
- Click the downloaded installer executable to launch the Prerequisites Setup Wizard and click Next.
- In the Prerequisites window, the installer will identify the missing prerequisites. It is important that you install all the required prerequisites. However, you can select/unselect the applications to be installed based on your unique requirements. Click Next to continue.
The installer will download and install the selected applications.
- In the confirmation message box, click Yes to reboot and continue the installation.
Step 3: Start the installation process #
- After all the prerequisites are installed, the 3CX Click-To-Call Setup Wizard appears. Click Next to Continue.
- On the Select Installation Folder window, the Folder field displays the location where the ‘3CX Click-To-Call’ will be installed. Note that you cannot change the path.
- Click Next to continue with the installation.
Step 4: Test Relay Settings #
- In the 3CX Relay Services window, in the Relay Host field, enter the FQDN of your 3CX server.
- Enter 8801 in the Relay Port field.
- Enter the public key you took from VoIPTools Relay services in the Public Key text area.
- Click the Test Relay Settings to confirm ‘3CX Click to Call can communicate with the Relay services running on the 3CX server.
- If the ‘3CX Competitive Wallboard’ is successfully able to communicate with the Relay services that run on the 3CX server, a Success message box appears. Click OK. If the test fails, you will not be able to continue until communication with the relay is established.
- Click Next to continue with the installation.
NOTE:
- You must set the Relay Port to 8801.
- If the Relay test fails, you cannot continue the installation until you establish communication with the Relay. If the test was unsuccessful:
- Confirm you have the correct firewall port open (default TCP 8801) on the 3CX server and the firewall protecting the 3CX server.
- Confirm that you have entered the correct FQDN for the 3CX server.
- Confirm that the 3CX Click to Call and Relay uses the same port and protocol.
Step 5: Installing 3CX Click-To-Call #
- In the Ready to Install window, click Install to start the installation of the ‘3CX Click-To-Call’.
The application installation progresses.
- Once the installation is complete, check the Launch 3CX Click-To-Call check box and then click Finish. The 3CX Click-To-Call configuration screen opens. If you want to simply close the installer without opening the configuration screen, then simply uncheck Launch 3CX Click-To-Call check box and then click Finish
Configuration Screen #
License Screen #
Registration is required to authorize your license key. Following are the advantages of registering with VoIPTools,
- Helps VoIPTools provide a replacement key if your license key is ever lost.
- Lets VoIPTools notify you of any product updates, and reminders if your key is reaching the renewal date.
Follow the procedure to register with the application,
- Double-click the application on your desktop.
- Log in with valid credentials.
- In the License tab, and in the License Key field, enter the valid license key.
- Enter appropriate details in all the other fields of the page.
- Click Register.

- Click OK on the confirmation message box.
NOTE:
The license key permits you to install this software on one computer. This is not free software.
Instructions Screen: #
The Instructions Screen gives you the basic functionality of the application.
Follow the procedure to test the Click To Call application,
- Enter a sample extension in the Sample Extension field. All the calls get routed to this extension.
- Click the Sample Site option to generate a sample site.

- In the Sample website, enter a number to make a call to the extension in the text area and click the Call button.

The Click To Call application routes the call to the sample extension.
